#buffy fucking summers y’all #it would be so much easier for her to stay in this fantasy life #she has the potential to be so much happier with her mom still alive and her parents together #and without being the slayer #a normal life is all she’s ever wanted and she’s given the chance to have it right here #and she rejects it #because she’s strong and she’s a hero #she makes the more difficult choice #because that’s what heroes do

because that’s what heroes do 

#in the end #this is why I prefer characters like buffy #because they choose the hard road #at great personal cost #not because theyy’re the designated heroes #but because that’s the right thing to do
